PRINCETON, N.J., December 1, 2003 /PRNewswire/ -- Sterling Management Solutions Corp. has been selected for the Joint
Warrior Interoperability Demonstration (JWID) Homeland Security component by the Pentagon. Sterling's Performance
Measurement Dashboard and Analytical Solutions, as well as its Virtual Command Center (VCC) Dashboard for Business
Continuity, will be utilized as part of the exercise.
JWID is held by the Office of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff to allow U.S. Combatant Commands and the
international community to investigate command and control, communications and computer (C4) solutions that focus
on selected core objectives.
Sterling's Virtual Command Center will be deployed in the United States and utilized to provide participants wherever
they are (via wireless, phone and web access) a command and control solution for event and incident alerting and
monitoring; performance measurements, monitoring and data mining capabilities; role-based workflow automation and
resource management (with full database functionality); automated response management and incident tracking, tiered
notification, logging, and reporting; documentation of response actions, access to plans and data, mapping, status
boards, executive briefing, and automated SOP checklists.
Sol Klinger, Chief Technology Officer of Sterling, said, "We are honored by our selection by the United States Joint
Chiefs of Staff to bring Sterling's business solutions to Homeland Security and the Pentagon. Business is war! Like
in any war, survival depends on being able to act quickly in a constantly changing environment. Business intelligence
will eventually operate as a business command-and-control center (BCCC). Similar to how a missile command center
constantly performs tracking and analysis and triggers countermeasures, the BCCC tracks variables, such as operational
performance, market conditions and competitors' performance, in real-time."
